1. About FloodGate

FloodGate Publishing LLC provides publishing production, author guidance, and related services. We are selective, transparent, and direct. We are not a traditional advance-paying publisher and we do not guarantee retail outcomes.

2. No legal advice

Information on this site — including FAQs, the Author Guide, and landing pages — is for general guidance only. It is not legal, tax, or financial advice. Consult qualified professionals for rights, contracts, and tax decisions.

3. Manuscript submission

• Submission and review are free.
• Submission does not guarantee acceptance.
• You confirm you have the rights to submit the work and that it complies with our content boundaries.
• FloodGate may accept, reject, or request revisions at its discretion.

4. Payment

Payment for production or agreed scope begins only after manuscript acceptance and written scope confirmation. Pricing is published on our pricing page. Custom work is by review with a stated minimum where applicable.

5. No outcome guarantees

FloodGate does not guarantee book sales, bestseller status, bookstore placement, media coverage, reviews, or similar outcomes. Launch support means preparation and assets — not sales results.

6. Rights and ownership

Rights, ISBN control, royalties, and account ownership depend on the publishing path you choose. Specific terms are defined in your scope confirmation and any separate agreement. Until then, you retain ownership of your creative work as applicable by law.

7. Your content

You retain responsibility for your manuscript and representations. You grant FloodGate the limited rights necessary to review, produce, and deliver agreed services. You must not submit unlawful, infringing, or prohibited content.

8. Acceptable use

You may not misuse the site, attempt unauthorized access, scrape or disrupt services, or use the site for fraudulent or misleading purposes.

9. Third-party platforms

Distribution may involve third-party retailers (e.g. Amazon KDP). Their terms apply to your use of those platforms. FloodGate is not responsible for third-party platform policies or account decisions.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FloodGate Publishing LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the site or services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to amounts you paid FloodGate for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify FloodGate against claims arising from your manuscript, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of third-party rights.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to FloodGate Publishing LLC's place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
